ONE THING AT A TIME!

So we'll get the mental visualization of our dreams and aspirations...

We'll get excited...

We'll tell a friend...

They'll help us add more to the vision...

We'll tell our parents and they'll add even more...

Then...

We'll calculate the cost of everything...

After that...

We'll then think about all the responsibilities that we already have...

Then we'll say, "I should have enough money saved in about 10 years to get this done..." and we never do...

Or... We'll live our life through someone else...

Or... We'll procrastinate until our bodies are no longer able to execute the dream...

Or...We'll make the decision to be a professional hater for the rest of our life because we see someone else doing the very thing that we once aspired to do and did not.

The one big thing that I learned during this whole process is that you can only do one thing at a time to get a job done. I thought about all the necessary responsibilities that I would need to strategically align in order to produce the vision that I had of my future salon. The thought of purchasing dryers, shampoo bowls, furniture, styling chairs, mirrors, contract painters, plumbers, and everything else that comes with the process was all too overwhelming. I thought about all the money that I didn't have. I thank God that I did not let those thoughts stop me this time. I gave my goals to God. Praying over this vision was the best thing that I could have ever done over anything else. God showed me all the money that I spend on unnecessary things. Food, Walmart, and target were all pit falls for me...lol.

After thoroughly evaluating my financial situation, I stragically planned for success by deciding to do away with all the extra spending. For example, Instead of buying the fifty-dollar blouse from the boutique, I chose to bum it out for a while...lol. Fifty dollars here and there will add up y'all. So saving that little bit made a big difference. I then put that money towards the salon. I bought one thing at a time for the salon. I would of never thought that I could of finished as much as I've finished on this project. I'm still not done but I'm completing one thing at a time.

This whole project has definitely gave me a big boost of confidence and the momentum I need to to do major stuff in the future. Now I feel empowered to take on big confidence boosting projects in the near future after this one is completed.

I want to challenge you to conjure up in your mind a project that you want to complete, set some goals for yourself, have a little talk with the Lord, and ask him to help you execute. Remember...ONE THING AT A TIME!

Muah,

Ashley Mone't
